Description

Literacy Volunteers of Charlottesville/Albemarle invites you to our annual Student Achievement Ceremony, sponsored by Bank of the James, on Thursday, November 8 at 7:00 PM.

We are honored to welcome Khizr Khan as our guest speaker.

The Student Achievement Ceremony gives us the opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of students and to recognize the hard work and dedication they have shown throughout the year. Students who have met significant milestones in their study will be recognized:

  • Those who obtained U.S. citizenship
  • Those who completed a program by scoring high enough on standardized tests to move on to other educational endeavors
  • Those who studied more than 100 hours during the course of the year

A light reception will follow the ceremony. Desserts will be provided by Junction, a Charlottesville restaurant.
